Growing up in London I studied Typographic Design at the London College of Printing (now the LCC) where I learnt to appreciate and use the beauty of typography to convey emotive meaning of the words.
After some jobs in various magazine and graphic related firms I progressed to book design at Harper Collins ELT for 3 years and then set up as a freelancer working both independently for Nelsons and then as part of a team working on BBC titles at Trojan Horse Publishing.
I set up my own business in 2000, Starfish Design Editorial and Project Management, with great employees and a close team of specialist consultants to produce large volume projects for publishers. For ten years we produced a high volume of integrated colour textbooks for major publishers to exacting standards with demanding schedules and budgets, all delivered within time and budget.
In 2009 I moved to the Isle of Wight, and for a 4-year period was involved in print as a manager during a local firm's expansive phase. Since the pandemic I have been focussing on digital design work, as seen on this site. I offer a personable amenable and reliable service, please get in touch.
